Air Fryer Wonton Chips are a super light, crispy, and addicting snack that can be made in a matter of minutes. Wonton wrappers are lightly sprayed with oil, cooked until golden, then seasoned with salt. Enjoy them on their own, or pair them with dips, salads, and soups. With just 3 ingredients required, they couldn’t be simpler to prepare!
Preheat air fryer to 375°F. If your air fryer doesn't have a preheating setting, let warm up first for 5 minutes.
Spray basket of air fryer. Add a single layer of wonton wrappers, then spray tops with oil. Repeat with 1-2 additional layers, spraying with oil between each layer.
Air fry for 3-5 minutes, shaking every 1-2 minutes, until golden brown and crisp. Transfer to cooling rack and immediately season with salt. Let cool completely.
Notes
Cooking time may vary based on the air fryer model and the thickness of the wrappers. I'm using the 6-Quart Instant Vortex Air Fryer. Test a smaller batch first to determine the exact time it takes your specific air fryer.
If you’ll be serving the chips with a heavier dip, opt for medium-thickness wonton wrappers. You can also make wonton strips instead of chips to serve on top of soups, stews, or salads.
To bake Wonton Chips, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spray the wrappers, and bake them at 400ºF in a single layer until golden brown and crispy.
Make deep-fried wonton chips by heating a few inches of vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pot. Once it reached 350-375ºF, fry the wonton wrappers for a few minutes until golden. Drain them on paper towels or a wire cooling rack.
